Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information The Sports Punter collects, why, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address and your password. Your password is handled by our account provider and stored in protected form; we cannot read it.
- Plan and payment records: your plan, when it ends, and for each payment an order reference, the plan, the amount, the currency and whether it was paid.
- Mobile number for payment: when you pay by mobile money we pass the number you type to our payment partner to process the payment. We do not keep it.
- Technical information: like most websites, our host records basic technical details (such as your IP address and the pages you request) in server logs.
How we use it
- to create your account and keep you signed in;
- to take payment, confirm it and give you the plan you bought;
- to keep the service secure, prevent fraud and fix problems;
- to reply when you contact us.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not show advertising based on it.
Who else handles your information
- Supabase: stores accounts and plans.
- Our payment partner (for example Selcom or Snippe): processes mobile-money payments under its own privacy policy.
- Render: hosts the website.
These services may process information on servers outside Tanzania.
Your browser
When you sign in, your browser keeps a sign-in session in its local storage so you stay signed in. Signing out removes it. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Keeping and deleting your information
We keep account and payment records for as long as your account is open and as long as needed for our accounts and to meet legal duties. You can ask us to correct or delete your account by emailing us. We may keep payment records we are required to keep.
Age
The service is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the latest version.
